Three cartoon-like dogs climb up a tree after a squirrel.
Historical Context:
"Dogs have been some of my best friends. They are the ultimate optimists who can always find something to be happy about. Dogs are very fun for me to draw because I can abstract, exaggerate, and simplify their forms to match their larger-than-life personalities. They come in multiple shapes and sizes, and yet have inherent traits that are consistent in every breed. Dogs themselves are loyal, loving, somehow smart and dumb at the same time, are able to train humans just as much as we train them, making an all around great companion. The have the strange ability to make whomever they interact with happy, sometimes by their company alone. My art has the same goal, to make people smile and be happy." -Grace Carpenter
