Historical Context:
Carol Hepper spent much of her time on the American Great Plains and previously lived and worked in rural South Dakota on a Native American Reservation. Hepper has gained much attention over the past 20 years for her explorations into the body, spirit, nature and culture that her artwork creates. Hepper currently lives in New York and employs materials used by the Native American cultures of the Great Plains.
