A geometric design, including a yellow and purple circle within a blue square. Other parts of a design include organic symbols in yellow, purple, green, and blue. Use long nameplate.
Historical Context:
The painting "Kaleidoscope" symbolizes the life of an autistic individual. Emanating from a multicolored kidney shape in the center of the image (depicting the fetus or seed of life) are shifting symmetrical patterns. The multicolored dots represent the many individuals that impact the life of the child. Cradling the fetus are four circular symbols, each portraying the spiral of potential energy. Surrounding the fetus and spiral of potential energy are two concentric circles representing the community that anchors four stages of growth. Uniting the four life symbols is a mandala representing the essence of life.
