Red print of the poem "Jet" by Tony Hoagland with red fish and rockets and space men along the border. 1st copy signed by the author.
This broadside commemorates Tony Hoagland’s reading at GVSU’s Poetry Night in 2009. The poem is a selection from his book, Donkey Gospel. His poems are known for their surprisingly frank commentary on American life and culture. With each clever line, Hoagland tackles everything from gender and culture, sex and rock music, truth and beauty, and even a boy who only speaks in “Kung Fu” dialogue. The design and illustration of the broadside is by GVSU Associate Professor W. Todd Kaneko who is also an author and poet.
