Simple landscape painting of green field, houses and silhouettes of trees along horizon line. Dark, cloudy sky.
While known today more for his geometric works on enamel panels, Corten steel sculptures, and silk screen prints, Cyril Lixenberg began his career as a painter. In 1953, Lixenberg travels through The Netherlands and Europe, and in 1956, he briefly studies at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. This landscape painting is representational of this earlier work.
