Description:
Large, color photographic representations: a circular, superimposed photograph of growing, green, leafy plants in a garden onto rectangular photograph of empty glass "Ball" jars.
Historical Context:
"This piece is from a larger project exploring value structures through food, representations, and regulatory systems...The negotiation and expression of value is created very intimately when tied to food. We become our food, blurring bodily boundaries the moment we feed ourselves and digestion begins. I intentionally present food in its complexity as an instance where rigid structures fail exquisitely, giving way to unpredictability and imagination." -Dulcee Boehm
