Historical Context:
This is a reproduction of Norman Rockwell's "Freedom From Want", the original of which, printed in 1943, can be found in the Norman Rockwell Museum in Massachusetts. Norman Rockwell was a 20th century American painter and illustrator who was one artist of few to be widely-recognized during his lifetime. He is most well-known for his famous cover illustrations for The Saturday Evening Post magazine, images that often depicted scenes of everyday life in an often idyllic American landscape.
