Historical Context:
This poster, created by French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in 1891, is an advertisement for the famous dancers La Goule and "No-Bones" Valentin as well as the new Paris dance Hall, The Mouin Rouge. The original artwork is from the Robert L. Hoskins and Erwin A. Raible Collection of Fin de Siècle French Prints, a gift of Elaine Rutowski Shay.
