Description:
Four embroidered horses in the center of the image. The horses are yellow, blue and orange. The yellow horse in the center ins falling down face forward with a rider on it's back. The rider of the horse immediately to the right is holding up a spear.
Historical Context:
The Bayeux Tapestry is 1.6 by 224.3 ft long and is actually an embroidered cloth. The embroidery depicts the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England as well as the events of the invasion itself. The tapestry is annotated in Latin.
