Description:
In the center multiple figures on horseback. The horses are orange, yellow and blue. Each figure holds a spear and sword. They all wear pointed hats. The word "ET:VENERVNT" is at the top left of center.
Historical Context:
The Bayeux Tapestry is 1.6 by 224.3 ft long and is actually an embroidered cloth. The embroidery depicts the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England as well as the events of the invasion itself. The tapestry is annotated in Latin.
