Historical Context:
"Welcome to our study of the great French Impressionist painter, Claude Monet (1840 - 1926). I saw these paintings this past summer and was struck by the raw brush strokes of Monet's giant works. At that moment, I knew that my disabled students at Lincoln Developmental Center and Lincoln School could attempt their own version of Claude Monet's water lilies!" - Elaine Dalcher (art instructor Grand Rapids Public Schools). Partial funding for this project was provided by Mary Rodenberg, mother of LDC student Martina Brown.
