Historical Context:
"This poster is number 5 in a series of 6 posters revealing the ocean garbage patches and the effect of plastic in the ocean. The currents in the ocean concentrate plastic into areas called gyres. There are 5 gyres in the world's oceans today. Unfortunately, the plastic washes up on beaches in these areas, covering them in trash. I created these posters using information graphics to spread awareness on the environmental issue in a way that is easy to understand and memorable to the audience."
