Description:
Candid photograph of young woman with a silver tiara on her head; Red lighting.
Historical Context:
"Using my Motorola Droid, as well as appropriated images from the Hansen family archives, I have created a series of photographs of my fiance, Kristen. To me, they show the person that I know...Posed pictures are heavily contrived, stiff, and formal. Snapshots offer a more accurate and intimate depiction of the person. When we pose for a studio photograph we put on a mask and portray who we are to strangers, not to people we know and love... I encourage you to take a moment to look through your cell phone at your own snapshots, and appreciate them and treasure them." -Alexander Joseph Wisniewski
