Photograph of a forest with a small cabin in the background. Superimposed onto the forest and between two trees in the foreground there is a hammock with two small children in it smiling. The imposed image is lighter in color than the forest in the background.
"This body of work is a personal representation of memories, how they are visualized and their relationship with time. On my journey to express my embodiment of home, I quickly discovered that my connection to the places where I grew up had nothing to do with place itself, but the nostalgia of the memories they contain. I acquired old family pictures, using Photoshop to place them into photographs of their modern-day locations. The contemporary image represents the way time transforms not only the place itself but also changes the location of the places we call home." - Sarah A. Truckey
