A photograph of a landscape with some river flats and a small cluster of trees along the right hand side. Super imposed onto the color image there is a black and white photograph of two unclothed children standing at the edge of a dock looking over their shoulders towards the photographer.
"This body of work is a personal representation of memories, how they are visualized and their relationship with time. On my journey to express my embodiment of home, I quickly discovered that my connection to the places where I grew up had nothing to do with place itself, but the nostalgia of the memories they contain. I acquired old family pictures, using Photoshop to place them into photographs of their modern-day locations. The contemporary image represents the way time transforms not only the place itself but also changes the location of the places we call home." -Sarah A. Truckey
