With a photograph you expect to get an exact replica of the moment the shutter of the camera snaps. You expect realism from the image, but with photographs by Robert Koropp, you’ll find yourself doing a double take. Koropp worked as a photographer over 30 years ago, before any of the computer photo software that exists today. Instead he relied on experimenting with the use of different lenses, lighting and development techniques to create photographs that appear to have been manipulated. His subject matters are wide and broad, featuring everything from cityscapes to flowers to still lives of all white images.
