From stark images of white eggs on white serving dishes, to abstract images of Denver’s skyline, Robert Koropp’s photography covers a wide array of images and themes. But throughout all of his images is a bit of abstraction and manipulation, even though they were all developed over 40 years ago, long before digital editing. Experimentation is a trait from Koropp’s scientific background, originally trained as a chemist before finding his passion for photographer. His early artistic career began in commercial advertising for clients such as Kellogg’s, Amoco, First National Bank and others. Moving on to more personal endeavors, Koropps created multiple bodies of photographic work including experimental and micro-photography, land and cityscape, still life and motion images and much more.
