Color photograph of several pieces of differently colored wood attached together. There is a large blue piece that runs diagonally from the upper right to the bottom left. The other sticks fit into the gaps of the blue.
Historical Context:
Robert Koropp was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After serving in the army in World War II, he attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he received his B.S. in Chemistry, receiving his Master's in Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. His artistic career began in successful commercial advertising, which included work for such prestigious clientele as Kellogg's, First National Bank, Amoco and Mobil, among others. Moving on to more personal endeavors, he created multiple bodies of photographic work including experimental and micro-photography, land and cityscape, still life and motion images and much more.
