Robert Koropp was born in Chicago, Illinois. After serving in the army in World War II, he attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, and later went on to study photography at the Art Center School in Los Angeles. Koropp had a successful career in advertising with numerous high profile clients including Kellogg’s, First National Bank, Amoco, Mobil, Honeywell and Pentax. With a background in science and a desire to experiment, he created multiple bodies of work including experimental and micro photography, land and cityscape, in both still-life and motion images.
