Description:
Piece depicting several stalks of green bamboo. Sitting on one of the branches is a colorful bird looking down, yellow and black is visible on its back. Below it is another bird looking up, the white feathers on its stomach can be seen instead of the yellow on its back. There is a black and red stamp in the bottom left.
Historical Context:
Nisaburo Ito was a student of Tsuchida Bakusen at the Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting in Japan. The school was known for producing print designs of flowers and scenes of Kyoto City.
