Jackson Wrede is an oil painter working out Grand Rapids, MI. His work comprises diverse approaches to painting that include influences from 19th century Europe, 20th century pop, and 21st century culture and conversations. Wrede spends much time working as a commission painting for collections in West Michigan and Chicago, but his personal portfolio could be described as eclectic adaptations of art historical themes that have been reshuffled to better suit contemporary audiences. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2018 and went on to recieved his Masters of Fine Arts at Kendall College of Art and Design in 2021.
