From Toronto, Canada
Founding member of the photographic association of Canada. He was also a member of the American photographers association and regularly exhibited his work at galleries. He won several photography awards. He was also a tightrope walker who in September of 1890 walked 923 ft rope above the Niagara river gorge that separated the united states and Canada. He continued his career as a tightrope walker- even selling tickets and promotional images of the events.
