Angela Samuels graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2004 with a degree in painting. Her work is largely influenced by comic book and dictionary illustrations, and are playful and visually rich. She is the creator of the 24 culinary-themed paintings decorating the Commons dining area of Grand Valley's Allendale campus.
