Artist Biography:
Charlotte Pillipus Napurrula is a Loritja woman born at Papunya c.1963. She is the daughter of Long Jack Phillipus Jakamarra, one of the first group of aboriginal men to paint on canvas in the early 1970's under Geoffrey Bardon's influence. Charlotte has observed her father painting for as long as she can remember. Since starting to starting to paint in the early 1990's has developed her own style, she is quite meticulous with her dotting and enjoys the color combinations modern acrylic paints offer and the way they can be applied to her dreamings.
