From1957 to 1962, he attended the School of Applied Arts in Amsterdam of Rietveld Academy. There he was the department free graph. Later between the years 1986 to 1999 he taught at the Christian University of the Arts in Kampen, while working as Visiting Professor at the Art Academy in Den Bosch during the years 1990 to 1992. When it comes to his work his prints are abstract, sometimes doing woodcuts and etchings with text. In his earlier years his focused primarily in grey-scale, adding colors to his work such as red, blue, brown and yellow later in his career.
