Artist Biography:
Richard Clair Lane received a bachelor's and master's degree in architecture from the University of Michigan after serving in the Army Air Corps. He worked for local architectural firms in Battle Creek, Michigan, taught architectural drafting at Michigan State University, and worked as an engineer at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek. In his art, he worked primarily with wood carving and stained glass.
