In her work, the Parrot Tulip central. Coumou's "tulip fever" began when she saw a few years ago the parrot tulips of the seventeenth-century painters and Marell Henstenburg Teyler Museum in Haarlem. The fickleness of the flower and the characteristic lines made a great impression on her. In addition she also paints realistic tulips tulips regardless of their background, making the paintings sometimes almost an abstraction. It is clear her background in industrial design look around the corner. The technique of Coumou is very special, she works with different materials (acrylic, oil pastel and graphite) on transparent fabric.
