Born in Detroit, Steven de Polo earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and his M.A. from Temple University-Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He moved to Grand Rapids in 2001, buying a 1913 home in East Hills. He has served as a non-profit leader for 18 years in New York City and in Grand Rapids. He has had his photography published, and in his spare time writes a monthly column for Revue magazine.
