Artist Biography:
He was a originally a florist and was inspired by the flowers to a painter. He started his art career at a lithograph company as an office boy. Jackson had his first exhibition at the Montreal Art Gallery. He had considered leaving Canada after the first exhibition to head to the United States, but he was contacted by J. E. H. MacDonald about one of his paintings. Jackson had gotten in touch with many other artists and became more involved in the Canadian art scene.
