Artist Statement:

Mythology: Chaos and Creation

One of the functions of myth is to make sense of the world. Whether a culture uses myth. The used to uphold social institutions or to provide a religious experience, they all offer similar themes. The myths across diverse cultures and writings from Joseph Campbell inspire my images.

These dramatic compositions incorporate several metaphors from ancient myths. The controlled events create a surrealistic realm within our modern world. While photographing in darkness, I meditate how serendipitous events reflect my life experiences. Discover the power of myth in life.
