Artist Biography:
Ferdinand Bac (1859 - 1952) was a French landscape architect, author and illustrator born in Stuttgart, Germany who spent most of his life in Paris, France, integrating himself into the Bohemian threads of the Montmartre district. He was responsible for imagining and creating the gardens of Menton in France, one of the most attractive tourist destinations along the Riviera. During his life, he wrote and illustrated many literary works, and is regarded by many as being one of the leading political cartoonists of his time.
