Artist Biography:
Georgia O'Keeffe was an American painter who was known for her tendency to challenge the boundaries of American "modern style" of painting. Many of her paintings closely observed flowers, landscapes, animals, and shells. Many of her works are also inspired by New Mexico, where she spent most of her late life. Her unique style of painting had a strong influence on the European style, as opposed to European style influencing the United States, which had been more common throughout history.
