Dale Chihuly is a world-renowned glass artist and entrepreneur. Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Chihuly studied glass in Washington, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, and Venice before founding the Pilchuck Glass school in Stanwood, Washington. At the Pilchuck school, numerous talented glass blowers come together to create glasswork on the large scale Chihuly is famous for. His work is part of hundreds of museums and galleries all around the world, and he has received two honorary doctorates as well as two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts.
