It has always been difficult for me to articulate my thoughts in words. This is largely because my work is intuitive, the natural by-product of my desire to experience the world through my hands. Thees pieces assist me in engaging the world in a different manner. They allow me to interact and interpret my surroundings. It is also a reflection of my personality, integrating my fascination with problem solving, through humor and the challenge of creating. On another level, the work exhibits an intense interest in mechanical function and a yearning to see these pieces perform. With this body of work, I hope to engage viewers with its whimsical, mechanical absurdities, each piece embodying an aspect of who I am.
