Artist Biography:
Andrew Qappik is an Inuit-Canadian artist from Pangnirtung, Nunavut, Canada, specializing in illustration and printmaking. His work is heavily influenced by the traditional Inuit culture, of which he is a direct descendant. He favors a naturalistic approach to his work, incorporating elements of the native wildlife and innate spirituality of the region. He is well-known for both his extensive bodies of print work and also for his artistic contribution to the Nunavut coat of arms.
