Kyoung Ae Cho was born in Onyang, South Korea. She received her B.F.A from Duksung Women's University, Seoul, South Korea in 1986 and her MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1991. On her work she says, "My investigation into environmental precessing is to explore an understanding of nature's rhythm in our culture and how we as people interact with it as well. With growing concern in environmental issues, the understanding of nature's rhythm and the recycling of materials has become more important and has peaked in my thoughts in how I work. My works are produced as a result of a conversation between nature and I. Through this process I want to have my work carry the beauty and power that I see and feel in nature."
