Aleda Burkholder is a local artist and alumna of Grand Valley State University. In 2004 she participated in a volunteer program at the St. John's Home, a residential treatment center for abused and neglected children in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The program was an enormous success and helped to raise money for the center.
