Artist Biography:
Ted Burmeister of Livonia, Michigan was one in a group of photographers that captured images from Rockford to Muskegon, Zeeland to Caledonia for a class project with instructor Daniel Plowden. The group's photos ranged from black and white to color, from abstract to literal. "Geography and political lines didn't affect where we went as much as how much gas we had," Burmeister joked. His photos comprised a collage of rocks, moss, and other close-up images. It's what you would see if you stopped along the way. Burmeister was a student of photography and color lab manager at Grand Valley until he graduated in 2000.
