This work was created by a 17 year old student in Pristina, Kosovo and given to Erion Veliaj, a GVSU student, as he jumped on a waiting helicopter to evacuate the area under gun fire. We do not know the fate of the young artist. The work of art was tightly rolled and hand carried to the United States where it was presented to President Lubbers in 1999 by Mr. Veliaj.
