Anatole Krasnyansky was born in the U.S.S.R. and spent his early years there. He was there during the oppressive years and his art would reflect how he enjoys being free. He moved to California later in his life with his family and began a career as an architect. Anatole Krasnyansky compares painting to playing the violin. He says that when playing the violin and a finger is off an inch it is noticeable. He believes that art can be noticeably wrong if something is off, even by an inch.
