Description: Abstract view of hallway with arched columns; done in warm and metallic colors with brushstroke texture.
Historical Context: "I first approach my work intuitively, I would however deny being a purely intuitive artist. Even this is an opposition. These images haunt me. I research and investigate them in an effort to figure out what they are about. They are my mysteries. The conclusions drawn from my investigations result in a finished drawing. We do not like looking at negative things, however we may look if they are coupled with a positive approach." Patricia Hendricks is a professor at Kendall College of Art and Design. She teaches drawing, education, and painting classes. Hendricks received her B.F.A. from Kendall College of Art and Design and her M.F.A. from University of Cincinnati.
