Historical Context:
Dru P. King received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, and his Master of Fine Arts degree from the Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His work is largely influenced by his devotion to studying mythology, anthropology and art history; his style reminiscent of the Vienna Secession, Pre-Raphaelite and late Renaissance periods of art. The profound presence of these historical painting styles are often intertwined with more contemporary topics, such as ufology, human evolution and select conspiracy theories.
