Historical Context:
Students from the Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies created this mural under the guidance of artist, and Grand Valley alumnus, Hubert Massey. During the year long project, the students framed and stretched their own canvas, composed the original design and painted the entire piece. The Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies is located in Detroit, Michigan and is a college preparatory school focused on art and design, and serves nearly 800 students from grades six through twelve.
